The Christian life is like a race. It requires discipline, training, and perseverance:
In a race, run all, but only one receiveth the prize. Those who don’t win, finish the race because if the race is not completed they seem to be disqualified.

What kind of race would be a Christian life?
The bible says in 1 Corinthians 9:25 “Everyone who enters athletic contest practices self-control in everything. They do it to win a wreath that withers away, but we run to win a prize that never fades. for bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
All of us go through trials and unexpected problems sometimes make us to deviate from our faith. But Jesus says “He who stands firm to the end will be saved.” As an athlete doesn’t bother about any obstacle on his way, we must overcome all the problems that come in our life and Run in such a way that we may win (9:24).

Paul says “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me —the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24)
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 because Jesus says, “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” Revelation 3:21
